We specialise in all aspects of property, housing and construction law. We chose the name plainlaw as it is our aim to provide clear, straightforward advice. Our current and future commitment is to provide a responsive City style service (all our solicitors trained in the City) but at provincial rates. We try to anticipate client needs and work with clients to drive transactions through. Providing a good client service is important to us - delivering commercial solutions that reflect your needs. We are delighted that this service has again been recognised by The Legal 500 which has once again selected plainlaw as one of the leading firms for property work in the Thames Valley, Berks, Oxon, M4/ M40 region. In it's 2006 edition it said: "'Excellent', 'sensible', and 'timely' is how clients describe the services of plainlaw solicitors, a property boutique with a partner-led and proactive ethos. Black & Decker is a key client, which the firm recently advised on a substantial acquisition. Philip Horn is recommended." We were very pleased to be highly rated again by Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession in its 2010 edition, with Philip Horn ranked as a leading individual. Chambers say in their 2009 edition: This firm's relatively small size is seen as a distinct advantage by clients, who enjoy the level of care they receive. Everyone's their number one client! Philip Horn is described as "immensely experienced and pragmatic". He is celebrated by his clients for "simply telling it like it is".
